Description:
The Jean Luning Trail begins about .2 miles from the Long Lake Trailhead at the eastern end of Long Lake. It travels along the southern shore of the lake and meets the Pawnee Pass Trail at the western end of the lake. The trail is fairly level, ranging from 10,520 to 10,660 feet in elevation. Fishing for rainbow and cutthroat trout can be good near the inlet to the lake on the west end.
