Mirror Lake Trail
Description:
The Mirror Lake
Trail begins at its junction with the Mummy Pass Trail at an elevation of
10,725 feet and climbs to Mirror Lake at 11,000 feet. The trail is fairly
level for about .65 miles to its junction with the Comanche Peak Trail. Horses
are not permitted beyond this junction as the trail up to Mirror Lake travels
through wet and fragile areas. A hitch rack is provided to tie your livestock.
The trail toward the lake travels along the edge of a large meadow and heads
up the valley making a gentle climb. As you near the lake, you will pass trails
leading to designated campsites. It is about .9 miles to the lake and takes
about an hour to hike it from the hitch rack, round trip.
