Long Meadows Trail
Description:
The north end of the trail begins from the Timber Lake Trail at an elevation of 10,470 feet. It climbs to 10,518 feet in about 1.2 miles. This end of the trail is less strenuous than the south end. It makes a moderate climb up the ridge for about .4 miles. There are a few deadfalls across this section as it is not maintained. The trail soon levels off and it is an easy climb through spruce forest to the meadow. Horses are not permitted on the Long Meadows Trail.
