Dream Lake Trail
Description:
The asphalt surface ends on the north side of Nymph Lake. The natural surfaced trail continues to climb, making several switchbacks above Tyndall Creek. Great views of the peaks to the southeast and Glacier Basin are available along this stretch. The scenery is particularly beautiful in the fall.
Dream Lake is a long and narrow lake lying below Hallett Peak and Flattop Mountain. The best photos are from the east end toward Hallett Peak. There are plenty of spots to stop and enjoy the serenity along the north shore. This trail is generally easy to hike with a few moderately steep sections. Horses are not permitted on this trail. This trail sees heavy use.
