Beaver Meadows Loop Trail

Description:
      The Beaver Meadows Loop Trails are a series of trails that travel through the Beaver Meadows area of the Park. They total 5.7 miles in length. They are generally level and easy to hike. Horse traffic can be heavy at times from the nearby stables at Moraine Park. These trails are especially good for viewing wildlife, particularly elk. The trails travel in and out of ponderosa pine stands. They can be accessed on the north from the Upper Beaver Meadows Road and on the south from the Moraine Park Road. Great views of the surrounding peaks can be found at many spots along these trails.

Directions:
     The Beaver Meadows Loop Trails are most easily reached from the Upper Beaver Meadows Road and trailhead. Take Highway 36 about 1.2 miles from the Beaver Meadows Entrance to the Upper Beaver Meadows Road (gravel). Follow this road about 1.4 miles to the Upper Beaver Meadows Trailhead. There is room for 15 to 20 vehicles. A horse trailer can be parked in a wide area near the beginning of the loop. There are restroom facilities at this trailhead. Follow the trail directly south from the trailhead.
