Columbine Lake

Description:
Columbine Lake is a beautiful emerald green lake situated below Mount Neva. It is a shallow lake containing rainbow and cutthroat trout. Most of the shore is easily accessible for fishing. Camping is permitted but no campfires are allowed. A permit for the Columbine Travel Zone is required for camping.

Directions:

This lake is located at the end of the Columbine Lake Trail. Take Highway 40 south from Granby to Tabernash. Turn north on County Road 84 and Forest Road 129. Travel about 12 miles to the Junco Lake Trailhead. Hike about 1.8 miles on the Craibou Pass Trail to the Columbine Lake Trail. It is approximately 1.3 miles east to the lake.
