Jasper Lake
Description:
Jasper
Lake is a kidney shaped lake surrounded by spruce forest. The lake contains
cutthroat, brook, and brown trout. The water level in the lake fluctuates
through the season as it is used as a water source. Camping is permitted in
designated campsites only and requires a Jasper Lake Travel Zone permit. All
of the shoreline is accessible for fishing.

Jasper
Lake is accessible via the Devils Thumb Trail. Hike 4.3 miles from the Hessie
Trailhead to the lake. It can also be reached from the Corona Trail on the west.
From the Rollins Pass or the Devils Thumb Park trailheads take the Corona Trail
to Devils Thumb Trail. From there it is about 2.2 miles to the lake.
From
Fraser take County Road 8 east for about 5 miles to Forest Road 128. Take 128
north for about 2 miles and turn right to the Devils Thumb Park Trailhead.
Take
the Moffat Road (Forest Road 149) east from Winter Park for about 14 miles to
the Rollins Pass Trailhead.
Take
County Road 130 west from Nederland about 5 miles to the Hessie Trailhead and
the east end of the Devils Thumb Trail.
