Fish
Creek begins in the Comanche Peak Wilderness and flows for 5.8 miles where
it empties into the South Fork Cache la Poudre River. This stream is small
and contains brook and cutthroat trout. It ranges in elevation from 8,029
to 10,225 feet. This stream is not stocked.

Take
Highway 287 north from Fort Collins to Laporte. Continue on Highway 287 to Highway
14. Travel west on 14 for 24 miles to the Pinegree Park Road. Turn left and
travel 7.2 miles to the Fish Creek Trailhead. Follow the trail about two miles
to reach the creek. You can also reach the mouth of the creek by following the
Pinegree Park Road south another mile.
