North Fork Poudre Campground
     

     The North Fork Poudre Campground is located about six miles west of Red Feather Lakes on Deadman Road at an elevation of 9,200 feet. The campground is situated in a dense stand of lodgepole pine along the North Fork of the Cache La Poudre River. There are nine sites in the campground, all of which are suitable for RV camping. All of the sites are heavily wooded with level tent pads. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring or grate. The maximum vehicle length that can be accommodated is 30 feet.
     The roads through the campground are dirt. There is one restroom that will not accommodate disabled persons. No water is available at the campground. Reservations are not accepted for campsites in this campground. The season for this campground normally runs from June through September, depending on the weather.

Activities:
FISHING: Fishing for brook trout is available in the North Fork of the Cache La Poudre River that runs next to the campground.

HIKING: Hiking is available on the Killpecker and North Lone Pine trails. The trailhead for the Killpecker trail is located across the road from the campground. The North Lone Pine trailhead is about 3 miles to the east on Deadman Road.

BICYCLING: There are numerous jeep roads as well as the Killpecker and North Lone Pine trails that offer ample opportunity for mountain bike riding.

Directions:
     Take Highway 287 north from Fort Collins to Laporte. Continue on 287 north to Livermore. Turn west on 74E for 27 miles to where the pavement ends. It is another six miles to the campground. The campground is on the right side of the road.
