Narrows Campground
     

     The Narrows Campground is located about 19 miles west of Highway 287 on Highway 14 at an elevation of 6,400 feet. The campground is split into two sections. The western section is situated in a open meadow along the Cache La Poudre River. This section contains seven sites suitable for RVs as well as seven picnic sites for day use. The maximum vehicle length that can be accommodated is 30 feet.
     The eastern section is for walk-in tent camping only. Eight tent sites are nestled among the ponderosa pine trees with a few right along the Pouder River.
     The roads through the campground are paved with a large parking area. There are two disabled accessible restrooms. Water is available in both sections of the campground. Reservations are accepted. This campground is open May through October.
Check with the Forest Service for the current fees.

Activities:
FISHING: Fishing for trout is available in the Cache La Poudre River that runs along side of the campground.

HIKING: Hiking is available on the nearby Mount McConnel Trail. The trailhead is located in the Mountain Park campground, a few miles west of Dutch George Flats.

SIGHT SEEING: Take the Poudre Canyon Highway for a great scenic drive.

Directions:
     
Take Highway 287 north from Fort Collins to Laporte. Continue on Highway 287 to Highway 14. Travel west on 14 for 19 miles to the campground. The campground is on the left side of the highway.
